Holding On to God's Promise After Miscarriage and Stillbirth
After experiencing both a miscarriage and the heartbreaking loss of our daughter at eight months, it seemed impossible that God's promise would still come to pass. Through Pastor Celeste's teaching, we learned to hold onto God's Word even in our deepest grief — and in His perfect timing, He fulfilled His promise with the birth of our daughter, Faith.
We experienced heartbreaking loss, but we never let go of the promise God had spoken over our family.
In 2020, God placed a promise in our hearts that one day we would have a baby girl. The impression was so strong that we already knew her name would be Faith.
In 2022, we were overjoyed to discover that I was pregnant. But only a few months later, we experienced a miscarriage. Although our hearts were broken, we continued believing that God's promise had not changed.
The following year, we became pregnant again. This time, the pregnancy progressed to eight months before tragedy struck. On June 18, 2023, I delivered our daughter stillborn. It was one of the most painful seasons our family has ever faced. We grieved deeply, yet we refused to let go of what God had spoken.
During that time, Pastor Celeste's teachings became a source of strength and hope. Through God's Word, we learned to stand on His promises rather than our circumstances. Even in the middle of our sorrow, we experienced God's peace and chose to remain fully persuaded that He was faithful.
In early 2024, as we continued seeking God and following His leading, we discovered that I was pregnant once again. This time, we held onto God's promises with renewed faith and expectation.
Later that year, we welcomed our daughter Faith into the world.
Looking back, we realize that our story is not defined by miscarriage or loss but by God's faithfulness. We learned that faith is not the absence of pain—it is choosing to trust God even when the journey is difficult. Today, every time we look at our daughter, we are reminded that God's promises are always worth holding onto.
